Background & Training

Hi, my name is Carmen.  I became interested in natural health therapies because of my own health problems.  Lucky for me I found my way toward helping my body heal itself.  Through the years I modified my lifestyle and my family's and continued my interest in natural health but never pursued it passed a personal level.  After a tragic life changing event in my life I realized through the grief I needed to find something to focus on in order to prevent grief from taking me under.  I signed up for evening massage classes at Helping Hands Clinic in Texas and found it fascinating not to mention the massages I received during the course were helping me with the stress of grief.  God has a way of opening doors just as He closes others and it is up to us to find the courage to go through those doors and walk away from what is not accessible to us any longer.  We become richer for the experience and stronger too.  After becoming a certified massage therapist in Texas I felt there was so much more I wanted to learn.  I went to Sedona School of Massage in Arizona and afterwards I got my NCBTMB certification.  Practicing massage therapy allows me to help people feel good and in turn it makes me feel good too.  Plus it is a way to tap into the body’s healing potential and show clients that they have what it takes to heal themselves by reducing stress, helping them heal from illness and injury, and helping them achieve a state of relaxation and well being.  My philosophy on healthcare is that there is a better way than having to resort to pharmaceutical drugs that cause so many undesirable side effects.  Prevention is important before any disease sets in and causes havoc to an otherwise healthy body.  There are natural and nontoxic approaches to healthcare.  Many people out there that don’t realize this and so don’t seek an alternative other than what they have been accustomed to.  God made a perfect body and given the right environment it can flourish and therefore allow the individual to focus on his/her life’s purpose

Live life to love what you do,
help other people, and become
a healing instrument with
your hands and heart.
